Dji’s Flagship As the Best Camera Drone

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Rating

These are the results of our personal tests & challenges given to the drone with the consideration to its flight performance, structure, design, and price range. DJI Mavic 3 Pro got an impressive overall rating of 95%.

Structure and Design

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro is a quadcopter drone that has a black color and foldable design. This thing fits perfectly into a small bag, making it ideal for traveling.

This drone weighs 958 grams with dimensions of 13.68″L x 11.44″ W x 4.24″H inches. It primarily comes with one DJI Remote Controller and one high-quality battery.

The affordable remote controller is built with a screen! This ensures you to see the live video feed coming from the drone’s triple camera system.

Additionally, the control pad features a bright and big screen which is still recognizable even when there’s a direct light source like the sun or flashlight.

It is very easy to use and can be customized based on your preferences. When we tested the controller for a 35-minute non-stop usage, it heated up but still effortlessly functioned as where most phones would have turned off.

This drone needs to be registered as per the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) drone weight regulations. Learn more on how to register your drone.

Camera and Video Quality

DJI Mavic 3 Pro’s triple camera system is undoubtedly its best feature. It has triple focal lengths and CMOS sensors: 166mm with 1/2-inch CMOS (top-left camera), 70mm with 1/1.3-inch CMOS (top-right camera), and 24mm with 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera (Bottom/Main Camera).

The Hasselblad Camera shoots 5.1k/50fps and 4k/120fps with f2.8-f11 range. Its 10-bit D-log M Mode can record up to one billion colors.

Additionally, Hasselblad Camera 4k camera supports shooting RAW photos with a dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops.

Although capture frame rates per second (fps) vary between each camera, all three of them can certainly perform 4k at 60 fps.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro has 48MP effective still resolution (for images) and up to 28x zoom technology which is available in Explore Mode.

Well, we definitely tried this zoom technology and after what happened, I would not recommend the usage of this mode in suburban or urban areas.

The amount of zoom will enhance your chances of invading someone’s privacy which is a violation in drone laws and restrictions.

Flight Performance

This drone comes with an intelligent flight battery (5000mAh) that provides an impressive 43-minutes of maximum flight time.

It has a charging time of 32 minutes using DJI Power SDC and Mavic 3 fast charge cable which unfortunately are sold separately.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro has up to 15 km stable transmission range supported by DJI 03+. It provides 1080p/60fps clear and smooth live video feed.

It has a Level 6 wind resistance (up to 13.8 m/s) and up to 5000m of recommended maximum altitude and also to prevent aircraft loss.

Furthermore, it is built with impressive Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensors that provide extra protection. It has 8 vision sensors that work incredibly well during our tests.

Don’t forget to connect and explore first the DJI Fly app for a smooth and informative setup of your beloved drone. Download the latest version on DJI’s official website.

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro certainly has a remarkable triple camera, impressive structure, and incredible flight performance.

Therefore, you can use it in variety of recreational activities such as aerial photography and videography, exploration, sightseeing, hobby flying, social media content creation, and many more.

With all this all-around performance from DJI Mavic 3 Pro, I highly recommend this to photographers, filmmakers, drone fanatics, content creators, and hobbyists.
